Parks
The Village of New Windsor maintains 3 parks for public use in addition to a tennis and a basketball court adjacent to the village hall at 125 N 3rd Ave. Use the Contact Us link in the upper right corner or stop in the Village Hall at 125 N 3rd Ave during office hours, to reserve a park or for any questions regarding park use.
- New Windsor Ballpark is located on Illinois Highway 17 on the western edge of the village. The ballpark contains 2 softball fields.
- New Windsor Depot Park is located on Illinois HIghway 17 right in the center of town. Depot Park contains a historical horse hitching post adjacent to a historical tower that contains the bell that was rang to alert volunteer firemen in decades past. The park is also home to a gazebo/band shell and several memorials.
- New Windsor Rodeo Park is located on north 8th Ave at the intersection of Washington Street. Rodeo Park is the site of the annual New Windsor Fair, Rodeo and Horse Show that takes place on the 3rd Thursday - Saturday in August. Rodeo Park contains a playground for public use as well as a shelter that can be reserved for family reunions and other events. Use the Contact Us link in the upper right corner or stop in the village hall at 125 N 3rd Ave during business hours to reserve the shelter and make arrangements for the restroom to be open for your event. The shelter is available at no charge on a first come basis.
