President

The Village President is the chief executive officer of the village.  As such, the president sets the agenda for and presides over all village board meetings. The president shall give the board information concerning the affairs of the village, and recommend measures which he or she considers expedient. The president shall vote, when necessary, to settle any ties in board votes. 

The village president shall be the official head of the village for all legal purposes. The village president shall, at all times, have the power and authority to examine and inspect all books and records relating to village business kept by any village agent, employee, or officer. 

The Village President also serves as the local liquor commissioner.
